Air pollution is the release of chemicals or biological matter into the atmosphere that are harmful to humans or other living creatures. This study aimed to investigate the hepatic toxicity in mice exposed to air pollution while residing inside the Egyptian company for aluminum products by evaluating oxidative status, measuring some heavy metals, and histopathological examination of liver tissue. Animals were divided into three groups: those near anodizing yards, foundries, and the control group at Helwan University. Our study showed that being in the factory for a long time was linked to higher levels of toxicity, such as higher levels of nitric oxide in liver tissue and lower levels of glutathione and catalase activity. Simultaneously, the average concentrations of specific heavy metals (µg/m³) are measured and shown Al 405, Cu 20.5, and Cr 17 demonstrated significant increases over the natural level.
also, histopathological deformations. Based on our findings, we have concluded that elevated quantities of industrial air pollution and heavy metals cause oxidative stress and histological changes. The studied area is heavily loaded with heavy metals. The major metal in suspended particulate matter is aluminum, followed by copper, and chromium, with maximum concentrations during autumn and winter and minimum concentrations in summer.
