Nickel ferrite (NiFe₂O₄), known for its unique combination of magnetic and semiconducting properties, is a promising candidate for photocatalytic applications, particularly in environmental remediation. This study explores the impact of titanium (Ti) doping on the structural, morphological, and photocatalytic properties of nickel ferrite. Using the co-precipitation method, a series of Ti-doped nickel ferrite samples were synthesized and characterized via XRD, SEM, EDX, and UV-Vis spectroscopy. The photocatalytic performance of these samples was evaluated through the degradation of methylene blue (MB) dye under UV irradiation. The results reveal that optimal Ti doping significantly enhances photocatalytic activity, with sample 3 showing a 40% increase and sample 4 achieving up to 90% degradation efficiency. These findings suggest that controlled Ti doping can effectively modify the surface and electronic properties of nickel ferrite, making it a more efficient and sustainable photocatalyst.
