SERIES of surface active agents as amphoteric surfactants .......were prepared by the reaction of N-acyl–2-aminothiazole and/or N-acyl–2-aminopyridine of pure [(decanoic C10 : 0 , dodecanoic C12: 0, tetradecanoic C14 : 0, hexadecanoic C16 : 0, octdecanoic C18 : 0 , octdec 9-enoic C18 : 1, octdec 9, 12-dienoic C18 : 2, mixed fatty acids of Gawafa seed fat and mixed fatty acids of Grape seed oil (GSO)] with 3-chloro 2-hydroxypropane sulfonate and chloroacetic acid to produce amido-sulfobetaine [ IVa-i and VI a-i] and amido-betaine [Va-i and VIIa-i] with heterocyclic ring, respectively. The structure of the prepared surface active agents were confirmed by micro-analysis, IR and 1H-NMR spectra. The prepared surface active agents have a double properties, antimicrobial and high emulsification power.
